Poe AI Terms of Service
These terms cover what you can expect from Poe AI and what Poe AI expects from you.

1. Agreement
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Poe AI covering your use of poe-chat.com and everything offered through it.
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing Poe AI you accept these terms in full. If any part is unacceptable to you, do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
Poe AI is available only to individuals aged 18 or over who have full legal capacity to enter into a contract.
4. Age verification
We may take reasonable steps to confirm your age and may suspend access where a declaration appears false.
5. Description of the service
Poe AI provides entertainment conversation with fictional companion characters. It is not a dating service and does not put you in contact with real individuals.
6. Fictional nature
Every character on Poe AI is invented. Names, biographies, portraits and messages are generated content and must not be treated as statements of fact by a real person.
7. Not professional advice
Nothing produced within Poe AI is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. Consult a qualified professional for those matters.
8. Crisis situations
Poe AI is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services or a recognised helpline immediately.
9. Account registration
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
10. Account security
You are responsible for your password and for all activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
11. One account per person
Each user may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to evade limits or restrictions is prohibited.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Poe AI for unlawful purposes, harassment, impersonation of a real person, or the production of content involving minors.
13. Prohibited technical conduct
Scraping, reverse engineering, automated access, load testing, probing for vulnerabilities and circumventing access controls are all prohibited.
14. User content
You retain rights in the text you submit and grant Poe AI a limited licence to process and store it so the service can function.
15. Content responsibility
You are solely responsible for what you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.
16. Generated output
Output produced by a Poe AI companion is provided for personal entertainment. Verify anything you intend to rely on.
17. Intellectual property
The Poe AI name, branding, characters, artwork, interface and code are owned by Poe AI or its licensors and are protected by law.
18. Limited licence to you
Poe AI grants you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own non-commercial purposes.
19. Restrictions on reuse
You may not copy, resell, rebrand or redistribute any part of Poe AI without our written permission.
20. Fees and billing
Where paid features are offered, prices and billing intervals are shown before purchase. Charges recur until cancelled.
21. Cancellation
You may cancel a recurring plan at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
22. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and the refund terms displayed at the point of purchase.
23. Third-party services
Poe AI relies on third-party infrastructure and payment providers. Their terms apply to the parts of the experience they supply.
24. Availability
Poe AI aims for continuous availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance and outages may occur.
25. Changes to the service
We may add, alter or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will act fairly and tell you.
26. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, harms other users, or exposes Poe AI to legal risk.
27. Termination by you
You may close your Poe AI account at any time from your account settings.
28. Disclaimer of warranties
Poe AI is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.
29. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Poe AI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
30. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Poe AI against claims arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
31. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages of upstream providers.
32. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of our establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
33. Dispute resolution
Before formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith by contacting the other.
34. Severability
If a provision is held unenforceable, the remainder of these terms stays in force.
35. Entire agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Poe AI regarding the service.
36. Changes to these terms
Poe AI may revise these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
